School-level student debates

On October 22, 2024, an intra-school debate was held among 7th–9th grade students from Kazakh and Russian classes, along with student interns from the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University.

🎯 Goals and objectives of the debate:
- Utilize diverse debate methodologies;
- Encourage students to research and enhance their speaking skills;
- Develop the ability to express opinions clearly and coherently, fostering cultured speech;
- Enhance creativity, wit, and intelligence;
- Foster critical thinking skills;
- Teach students to express their thoughts openly and speak confidently in public.

🗣️ During the debate, participants were divided into "government" and "opposition" teams to discuss the following resolutions:
- "External factors play a significant role in career choice";
- "Social media causes more harm than good."

Participants delivered compelling and well-argued speeches, thoroughly exploring the topics and supporting them with facts. Audience members, including students and teachers, actively engaged by sharing their opinions and voting for their preferred teams. The debate concluded with friendship emerging as the ultimate winner.
